"Authentic Voices, Exalted"
What does it mean to find our authentic voices in our lives and in the stories we tell? How then, do we write into them, sharing and owning our truths?
In this memoir craft class, we will explore ways of finding and using our creative voices to change our emotional landscape and the world around us. Inspired by others who have expressed their truths and through carefully crafted prompts, we will write in community. Come join this group of writers as we lift our voices.
Afterward, writers will be invited to participate in an additional opportunity to prepare their work for a public reading at the Norton Museum of Art. (Optional, not required. If interested, writers must take one or both classes to potentially participate in this public literary reading.)
Janet Pfeffer is a creative non-fiction writer and poet. Her essay, “Portal Magic” is featured in Chicago Story Press’s, Storyteller’s True Stories about Love.
