Writing Craft Class: "Story Progression Through Dialogue" Saturday, April 27 from 10 am -12:30 pm at Palm Beach Gardens Library, 11303 Campus Drive, Palm Beach Gardens, FL, 33410.

The Cream Literary Alliance is pleased to present a fun class taught by Jann Hiller Seal that focuses on words, who is saying them, how they are saying them, and how to keep the reader engaged in the story. Learn how to transmit emotion without the benefit of a visual and without laying out pages of exposition to get the idea across. Participants will practice techniques to weave dialogue, narrative, and movement to progress a story. Appropriate for both fiction and nonfiction adult writers at any level.

Former high school English teacher, Jann Hiller Seal, was introduced to the craft of writing dialogue when she was hired as an assistant to the head writer of the soap opera "Days of Our Lives." Over the years, she wrote for "General Hospital," "Search for Tomorrow," and "Guiding Light" and was the onscreen writer for the CBS soap, "Capitol." She wrote long-term story for "As the World Turns" and was an on-screen writer for the syndicated soap "Rituals." Jann has also written for many local periodicals and has written or edited over 2,000 articles for an online aggregator with many of her pieces featured in the San Francisco Chronicle. Her most recent publication is a cookbook, Cooking, It Ain't Rocket Science, available on Amazon
